Mission

BPVA offers a place where people can learn the pole vault, meet new people, have fun and feel comfortable. We offer an athletics and conditioning program for athletes of all levels with various price options, but with greater emphasis on group classes. Our instructors have access to continual training with some of the industry’s top professional coaches. This provides our students with up-to-date techniques and best practices. BPVA welcomes a diversity of people and maintains a non-smoking and alcohol/drug free environment.

Overview

The Buckeye Pole Vault Academy (BPVA), located in Sunbury, Ohio provides the central Ohio community with a comfortable, friendly environment in which to learn all levels of the Pole Vault event of Track and Field. BPVA offers private pole vault instruction, group session, competition events, sleepovers, drop-in clinics, camps, and conditioning classes.

The pole vault has become increasingly popular worldwide due to the public’s exposure from the Summer Olympics and promotion from private clubs like ours. As a result, our academy can expect to expand numbers of members largely as we increase our prospecting in the community and especially when the next Summer Olympics come around. We expect most of our customers to come from greater Columbus, OH where we are located, but we also welcome athletes from as far south as Lancaster and as far north as Knox County. BPVA will appeal mainly to the Middle and High School age group, however, all age groups, abilities and backgrounds (including former gymnasts) who are looking for something a little different in their extra-curricular athletics are welcome. We strive to create a unique environment for both athletic and social opportunities through our club.
